In-kind "Goods + Services" Sponsorship

Each city/town RIDE needs similar provisions and supplies to run the event with excellence. Businesses who provide $500 worth of the following goods and services "in-kind" qualify as Community Sponsors:

1. Lunch Provisions (meat, bread, sweets): The RIDE hosts an event day Celebration Lunch for hungry riders, which costs somewhere between $4-5 per rider. Contributions of quality meat, bread or sweets will significantly reduce event expenses.

2. Rest Station Snacks (water, snacks): Most RIDEs have a minimum of four rest stations, requiring a minimum of $500 worth of provisions for the day.

3. Portable Toilets: Most locations require a minimum of $500 worth of portable toilets to service riders and volunteers along the route.

4. Signage: New locations require $1000 worth of signage to ensure the safety of our riders.

5. Pre-RIDE Promotion Lunches: Promoting the RIDE works best when we introduce it over breakfast or lunch, inviting 10-12 potential team captains and leaders to listen and learn more about the event.

Sponsorship Details

1. Community Sponsorship Sales end September 15, except for Australia (Sept 30) and Markham (Sept 30).

2. Point-of-Sale materials will be delivered as each sponsor is processed. The RIDE reserves the right to limit quantities.

3. Recognition plaques delivered within 60 days of the event.

4. Payments to the RIDE to be made by cheque, payable to "Ride for Refugees" with "(City name) Community Sponsorship" on the memo line. In-kind sponsorships receive no invoice without formal request.

5. Sponsorship becomes "official" when application and cheque have been received OR when city event director approves in-kind sponsor support.
